There's also a glimpse of the GLI's signature red accent trim, confirming this is the sportier GLI model, promising a thrilling ride.

When most people think of Volkswagen, iconic models like the hot hatch Golf GTI or Golf R, the versatile Bus (soon returning as the all-electric ID Buzz), or the legendary Beetle (which is no longer produced) come to mind. However, the Jetta, a solid and affordable sedan, is equally deserving of recognition. While 158 horses are commendable for a base model small sedan (especially with a turbocharged motor), there's always room for more excitement. The GLI is expected to continue offering a thrilling ride, possibly even surpassing the impressive 228 horsepower mark. The Jetta lineup also retains its manual transmission options, giving it a unique edge within the VW family as one of the few stick-shift vehicles available.
